• With limited supervision, handle geological and geophysical assignments of varied scope and complexity
• Assist reservoir engineers in building stream-day capacities for existing properties under current – and long term – economical conditions
• Formalize Asset Development & Depletion Plans (ADDP) on existing assets
• Serve as coach/mentor for junior geoscientists and technical assistants
• Develop realistic schedules, budgets, cost estimates and economic evaluations for projects that he/she develops
• Serve as project leader of multi-disciplinary technical teams based on broad knowledge of geoscience disciplines
• Interface with operations personnel – asset managers, production engineers, etc.
• Interface with internal/external reserve engineers and evaluators
• Seek opportunities to network outside the company to build relationships and gather information that lead to future business opportunities
• Serve on evaluation teams for potential acquisitions in relevant geographic areas

REQUIREMENTS:

• Geology or Geophysical degree and 8+ years experience in oil and gas geological studies or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience in applied clastic and carbonate depositional systems
• Experience with mud logging, wireline logging, and LWD/MWD tools
• Experience with Formation Evaluation Techniques
• Experience with geological modeling and simulation software (LANDMARK, PETREL, GEOQUEST, SMT, PETRA and others)
• Experience with standard computer software (Microsoft Suite – Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and others)
• Understanding of applicable new field technology

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintains the Land Information System’s division of interest module which interfaces with Accounting providing for working and royalty division of interest, ownership, and other pertinent data.
• Monitors production reports.
• Reviews pooling, operating agreements, farm-out/ins, leases and associated title opinions in developing division orders and /or divisions of interest ensuring proper payment of royalty on new and existing producing properties while minimizing exposure to interest penalties, fines and corporate liability.
• Reviews mineral title ownership and title opinions, deeds, wills, and all other legal documents; and directs proper changes of ownership for both working and royalty interest revenue disbursement.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by manager.
• Coordinates with land personnel to obtain title opinions, survey plats, conservation orders, or other documentation required to address title curative issues.
• Coordinates with gas and crude oil purchasers to ensure proper documentation and master file set-up.
• Advises affected departments regarding lease and contract obligations required to ensure compliance with governmental regulations and Company standards.
• Provides guidance for divestiture due diligence conducted in conjunction with capitalization of company assets while coordinating with buyers to ensure assumption of lease obligations.

REQUIREMENTS:

• College degree or equivalent, and 4 -6 years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of Excalibur Land System or similar computerized lease record system.
• Ability to analyze contracts and agreements affecting leases.
• Ability to utilize title opinions for determining lease ownership.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain production rate by performing daily operational checks, including all associated paperwork and logs
• Test wells on a daily basis to determine production rates and problems
• Responsible for daily operations of oil, water and gas processing equipment
• Identify problems or potential problems with equipment (meters, control valves, level controls, etc) and assist maintenance staff with other maintenance and repairs
• Substitute for other field personnel as needed

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide electrical/automation design engineering services for oil field facilities.
• Provide electrical/automation engineering and technical support for field operations.
• Investigate electrical/automation problems with tank batteries, pumping systems, LACTs, flowback manifolds, remote alarm systems, communications infrastructure, well control systems, etc.
• Provide project management and technical support for projects.
• Conduct feasibility studies and new design concepts including economic evaluations and preparation of cost estimates in support of project management and field operations personnel.
• Form collaborative relationships with co-workers, project team members and external stakeholders to successfully address business challenges.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Develop realistic schedules, budgets, cost estimates and economic evaluations for projects that he/she develops.
• Interface with operations personnel – asset managers, production engineers, etc and with reserves evaluation staff inside and outside the Company.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Engineering degree and 5+ years experience in oil and gas reservoir studies or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in applied waterflooding and enhanced oil recovery projects
• Prior experience working in – and preferably leading – cross-functional teams
• Experience with reservoir simulators and other computer tools (DSS, Petra, PhDWin, MS Project, etc)
• Facility with databases
• Understanding of applicable new field technology
• Some oil and gas laboratory experience is desirable.
