Senior Landman - Houston, Texas
|
This position will provide Land support in assigned responsibilities in the Due Diligence/Bid Process/PSA Negotiations/Deal Closing/Asset Integration process.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Responds, interacts and professionally represents BreitBurn with industry partners, sellers, investors, bankers, consultants, etc.

Ability to manage negotiations of Confidentiality Agreements. Managing the executed Confidentiality Agreements

Review agreements, contracts, regulations, etc. associated with potential acquisitions to concur the assumptions made in the economic model is correct and accurate

Confirm that current operations and upside opportunities as defined in the economic model are allowed and/or permitted under applicable agreements, permits, and/or regulations

Timely communicate with geology, evaluation team, operations, land and other departments with respect to issues involving acquisition targets and upside opportunities

Ensure all production operations in potential acquisitions are conducted in accordance with applicable rules, regulations and permits

Professionally participate in presentations to Executives describing potential deals

Have the ability to negotiate and finalize Purchase and Sale agreements and confirm that all associated exhibits and schedules accurately reflect the assets being purchased

Coordinate and finalize title and land due diligence efforts to confirm title prior to closing on an acquisition. Provide bank with all necessary due diligence work

Coordinate the organization, transportation and integration of all files associated with the assets acquired

Play an active role in the integration of acquired properties into the existing businesses

Have a vast network of industry contacts to assist in targeting potential acquisition targets.
REQUIREMENTS:
-
Related Bachelors or higher degree (PLM or EM degree a plus) with 7+ years in-house experience required

Prior due diligence experience related to sale/purchases of oil & gas interests is required

Solid understanding of US mineral and surface ownership principles including regulatory, title and curative documents
-
Broad-based knowledge of all facets of production and acquisition land work

Familiar with staking and permitting wells, including, but not limited to BLM, State and other issues related to drilling wells

Understanding of and experience in oil & gas accounting, COPAS and Property Administration a plus

Maintenance Operator II - Los Angeles, CA
|
This position will provide Land support in assigned responsibilities in the Due Diligence/Bid Process/PSA Negotiations/Deal Closing/Asset Integration process.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for daily maintenance and operation of the company truck and related equipment.

This Individual works with the Lead Maintenance Operator and will assist him in his daily operations

Have a good understanding of the infrastructure and knowledge of all well headers, valve boxes, test traps and tank farm operations.

Have knowledge of how to contain and repair leaks in the field

Assists Lead Operator, planning and scheduling work for the maintenance crews and to assist them in daily assignments

Substitute for other rig personnel in their absence

Represents PCEC in the delivery and ordering of materials.

|
Under the direction of Production Foreman, operate production equipment in order to maintain daily production.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee projects from start to finish

Assist in overall production operations, analyze and solve production related problems

Supervise contract work and maintain proper documentation

Review AFE cost estimates and compare to field estimates, notify Production Foreman of any discrepancies

Coordinate daily well servicing operation, daily field work operations and substitute for field personnel and Production Foreman in their absence

Staff Accountant-Financial Reporting - Los Angeles, CA
|
Under the direction of the Assistant Controller and the Supervisor of Financial Reporting prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations relating to a variety of accounting matters.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Prepare all monthly journal entries pertaining to: Interest, debt issuance costs; subsidiary distributions; equity earnings; revenue eliminations; short term bonus and other personnel costs accruals; various expense allocations; and other general ledger entries as necessary.

Prepare consolidation entries.

Provide monthly G&A and district expenses variances utilizing Management Reporting systems.

Prepare monthly billing for intercompany activity and reconcile Intercompany activity. Prepare quarterly and annual financial schedules for external auditors.

Advanced Acquisition Evaluation Engineer - Houston, Texas
|
Under the general direction of the Manager of Acquisition Evaluation, provide reservoir engineering, economic evaluation and financial modeling expertise to support the review of BreitBurn acquisition opportunities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Under general supervision, handle acquisition opportunity evaluation assignments of varied scope and complexity.
-
Assist in evaluating the Company’s oil and gas acquisition opportunities and in recognizing further development through workovers, drilling, assisted recovery and enhanced recovery.

Assist in developing realistic schedules, budgets, cost estimates and economic evaluations for acquisition projects that he/she develops.

Interface with operations personnel – asset managers, production engineers, etc.

Interface with reserves evaluation staff inside and outside the Company.

|
Under the direct supervision of the Operations and Data Systems Manager, this position provides accounting operations support to the division Vice Presidents and COO, and to Houston and Los Angeles Accounting.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Acts as Operations Liaison to Accounting, Land, Treasury, and other corporate departments.

Coordinates/responds to accounting-related questions and requests from the Northern and Southern Division Vice Presidents and the Chief Operating Officer.

Senior Division Order Analyst - Houston, TX
|
Under the general guidance of the Manager, Lease Administration, analyzes and interprets all documents relating to producing properties including advising appropriate departments of terms and provisions, maintains location masters and payee information in the Land Management Information System ensuring conformance to Company policies, governmental rules and regulations, and proper management of Company assets.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Maintains the Land Information System’s division of interest module which interfaces with Accounting providing for working and royalty division of interest, ownership, and other pertinent data.
-
Monitors production reports.
-
Reviews and interprets pooling, operating agreements, farm-out/ins, leases and associated title opinions in developing division orders and /or divisions of interest ensuring proper payment of royalty on new and existing producing properties while minimizing exposure to interest penalties, fines and corporate liability.

Reviews and interprets mineral title ownership and title opinions, deeds, wills, and all other legal documents; and directs proper changes of ownership for both working and royalty interest revenue disbursement.Resolves complex administrative problems with partners independently.

Upon request of manager, may provide training and mentoring to less experienced division order analysts and perform all other duties as assigned by manager.

Coordinates with land personnel to obtain title opinions, survey plats, conservation orders, or other documentation required to address title curative issues.
