Breitburn holds oil and gas properties that are characterized by stable, long-lived production with proved reserve life indexes averaging greater than 12 years. Our fields generally have long production histories, with some fields dating back to the 1800s. Breitburn produces oil and gas from 7 different areas throughout the United States*:

Specifically, our producing assets are located in:

  • Permian Basin in Texas and New Mexico
  • Midwest (Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky)
  • Ark-La-Tex (Arkansas, Louisiana and East Texas
  • Mid-Continent (Oklahoma)
  • Rockies (Wyoming and Colorado)
  • California
